Issue: Installing Sophos Endpoint on client machine on Vista or Windows 7 from the Sophos Control Centre may result in error messages (80070035 or 0000002b).
Solution: Start Remote Registry Service.
Method:
1 – Start Services (services.msc),
2 – Scroll down and start the following service : Remote Registry Service,
3 – Install Endpoint from SCC again
Extra:
If Sophos does not install still, the following settings may also need to be altered in the Advanced sharing settings (Control PanelAll Control Panel ItemsNetwork and Sharing CenterAdvanced sharing settings)
– Network Discovery – Turn on network discovery,
– File and printer sharing – Turn on file and printer sharing,
– File sharing connections – Enable file sharing for devices that use 40- or 56-bit encryption.
