Apple Snow Leopard fails to boot – Stalls at blue screen before login

by Tiempo | Jul 14, 2012 | Mac OS X, Snow Leopard | 0 comments

Issue: Snow Leopard fails to boot normally – Stalls on blue screen before login window appears. Can login via Safe Mode.

Reason: In my case, there were corrupted item (s) in the start up folders

Method: Remove corrupted item from LaunchAgents and LaunchDaemons folder – You could either remove one by one, test which was at fault – I just removed the lot :-).

Permissions will need to be altered for these folders to delete the files.

  • Macintosh HD > Library > LaunchAgents
  • Macintosh HD > Library > LaunchDaemons
