Issue: HP M1212nf AiO scanner not seen on Mac OSX Lion
Symptoms:
- Installations ends claiming you do not have administrator rights,
- Printer – Works fine,
- Scanner – Is not recognised within OS
HP Said:
The full feature drivers for your printer are not yet available. HP is working hard to develop and complete the composition of these drivers and when available they will put them on the hp website.
However, for the other printer with faxes are also no drivers available for this specific OSX 10.7 Lion.
Resolution:
Run the HP Setup Assistance program by using the following Terminal command:
sudo /Applications/HP LaserJet Professional M1210 MFP Series/HP Setup Assistant.app/Contents/MacOS/HP Setup Assistant
